Growth Engineer, Lifecycle Marketing

To accelerate this growth, we’re looking for a Growth Engineer, focusing on Lifecycle Marketing to join our diverse Marketing team. Rather than a traditional lifecycle marketeer, though, this is a hybrid role for someone who loves both data and execution. You will map out how customers enter our platform and build the automated nurture streams that help them grow, turning every sign-up into a thriving, multi-product deployment.
People love our products, but why exactly? We want to understand that better! This is probably the best time in the history of product-led growth at UpCloud, and in the overall cloud business too. It’s no surprise that customer insight is highly prioritized at UpCloud. We show a humble attitude towards our customers, and invest in learning valuable insights on how to improve their experience through data. We seek to understand more profoundly who we attract and why.
In this role, you will:
Design and execute automated lifecycle journeys: Create compelling email nurture streams in HubSpot for different users at different stages—from sign-up and trial phase to first payment and deeper deployments.
Master user behavior data: Pick up key behavioral signals coming from our customers, mapping out exactly who our users are, where they come from, and how they interact with our platform.
Drive Product-Led Growth (PLG) conversions: Optimize our end-to-end PLG, applying a "land and expand" model to turn basic accounts into highly engaged users of high-margin services like Managed Databases or Kubernetes.
Build dynamic customer experiences: Partner closely with our data and Customer Experience (CX) teams to identify growth triggers and build product flows based on those actions.
Own your impact: Implement these flows and strategies directly, with your success being measured by a clear, core metric: How effectively have our customers grown?
To succeed, you’ll need to have:
Lifecycle & automation expertise: Proven experience in lifecycle marketing, marketing automation, email marketing, and CRM management (we use HubSpot).
Product analytics skills: Experience in tracking and interpreting product data and user behavior to inform marketing decisions.
SaaS & PLG experience: Track record working within B2B SaaS with a strong understanding of Product-Led Growth.
We also appreciate (read: not a must but certainly a plus):
Technical data tooling: Familiarity or hands-on experience working with BigQuery, SQL, or databases.
Data visualization: Experience building dashboards (we use Google Data Studio / Looker Studio).
Analytics platforms: Familiarity with tools like Matomo or Google Analytics.

The pay range for this role is around 3500 - 5000 euros per month, depending on your seniority and location.
