To accelerate this growth, we’re looking for an ambitious, creative, and strategic Head of Marketing to lead our marketing team, reporting directly to the CEO. You will be working closely with all functions of the organization, including Sales, Product, as well as the Founder/CTO.
You’ll own the entire marketing function and work, and build a world-class team around you. UpCloud is about to scale big: we have superior tech and the brightest minds, and the market is favorable to EU Cloud providers. Your task is to bridge these strengths in our brand.

Forget just running campaigns. You'll be the architect of our market narrative and the brand builder who defines UpCloud's legacy. Your mission is to work with our brand that radiates trust and technical excellence, as well as lead, mentor, and inspire our marketing team to turn this ambitious vision into a global reality.
We welcome a seasoned tech marketing leader who has ideally already navigated their way from 50M to 100M business or has a clear vision on how to lead marketing in a high-growth scale-up.
You are a "jack-of-all-trades" in the best possible way—a smart, strategic thinker who has holistic mastery of the entire marketing funnel, from brand building and storytelling to product marketing, performance marketing, and demand generation. You are an ambitious, creative, and collaborative leader who can rally a team and the wider company around a powerful vision.
Your responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive, long-term marketing strategy that establishes UpCloud as the leading European cloud brand.
- Own the UpCloud brand narrative, voice, and strategic positioning across all global markets and channels.
- Lead, mentor, and scale the marketing team, fostering a culture of high performance, creativity, accountability, and collaboration.
- Partner directly with the CEO, the Founder, and other C-level leaders (Sales, Product) to ensure a tightly aligned and effective go-to-market (GTM) strategy.
- Oversee all marketing functions, guiding the strategy for demand generation, performance marketing (SEM/SEO/GEO), content, website, PR/comms, and brand.
- Manage the marketing budget, allocating resources effectively to drive both long-term brand equity and short-term revenue goals.
- Establish and apply the KPIs and reporting framework to measure brand impact, market share, pipeline contribution, and overall marketing ROI
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a strategic B2B marketing leadership role (e.g., Head of Marketing, VP, or a high-potential Director) with a clear track record of scaling a tech/software company.
- Holistic, "full-stack" marketing expertise. You are a true strategic generalist who understands how Brand, Demand Gen, Product Marketing, and Comms create a single, powerful growth engine.
- A good understanding of the cloud market (IaaS/PaaS) or a related, complex B2B software industry.
- Demonstrated success in building, leading, mentoring, and inspiring high-performing marketing teams.
- A "builder" mindset; you are excited by the challenge of creating a strategy, department, and brand, not just inheriting one.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, and communication skills; you can present a clear, compelling vision to the CEO, the board, and your team.
- An ambitious, yet collaborative and humble, leadership style.
- Location preferably near Helsinki, as that’s where we are headquartered.
